Legends state that Kerala was created by Parshuram (a famous ancient sage). Vasco da Gama discovered the sea route to India from Europe when he landed near Calicut in 1498.

Kochi (also known as Cochin) is a city in southwest India's coastal Kerala state. It has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbor and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled colonial bungalows and diverse houses of worship. Kochi is surrounded by palm groves, green field, inland lakes, and backwaters that have enchanted visitors from across the globe for centuries.
Alappuzha or Alleppey is a true glory in the southern state of Kerala. It is a tiny district of Kerala and it looks like a miniature heaven on earth. Often deemed as the 'Venice of East' by many travellers, this backwater state is simply the most beautiful state in Kerala. Alleppey is all green always with the large backwater and umpteen coconut groves.
Munnar is the most popular hill station in South India and the best tourist place in Kerala. It has a unique views of verdant mountain slopes which are covered with about 80,000 miles of green tea farms like organic bedding over mountains which offer views of low-flying clouds and misty valleys. The area is blessed with the natural beauty of winding lanes, misty hills, and forests full of exotic plants and wildlife.
Thiruvananthapuram which is the capital city of Kerala is a blend of serenity and city life. Thiruvananthapuram means The City of Lord Anantha is of historical importance and has many stories to unfold. Thiruvananthapuram is a Evergreen city of India and also considered as one of the 10 greenest cities in India. The largest city of Kerala is an IT hub and home to several educational institutes, Napier Museum and Research Laboratory.
Varkala in Kerala is a amazing beach with a little seaside and a high high cliff part which is complete of action and is among the best seaside places in Kerala. Varkala Beach is one of the famous beaches of Southern India located in the city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This beach is also known as the Papanasam Beach It is believed that a dip in the waters of this beach would wash away all your sins.
